Throughout his life, Yu Peng dedicated himself to transforming his home garden into a traditional Chinese garden. In the bustling city center, he created "Gui Yin Lu", which he described as "a place where lofty aspirations need not dwell in seclusion." "Clarifying the Mind at a Thatched Cottage" reflects Yu Peng's life philosophy—remaining undisturbed by external chaos while freely pursuing spiritual liberation.

  • The Realm Beyond Names

    Soka Art is honored to once again invite Zhao Bo to hold a solo exhibition titled, “The Realm Beyond Names”, which will run from March 1, 2025 to April 5, 2025 for a total of 5 weeks. “The Realm Beyond Names” serves as a metaphor for the artist’s recent explorations into the essence of existence, alluding to the elusive realm his works seek to express beyond words. This exhibition comprehensively presents Zhao Bo’s creative journey from 2009 to 2025—from his early use of juxtaposition to explore social phenomena to his later philosophical reflections on the nature of existence—showcasing the evolution of his artistic language.

  • Rendezvous at the Heavenly Terrace - Wang Yiya Solo Exhibition

    Soka Art is honored to present a new solo exhibition by artist Wang Yiya, titled "Rendezvous at the Heavenly Terrace", on display from December 21, 2024, to January 4, 2025. The term “Heavenly Terrace” carries multiple layers of meaning, referring to snowy terraces, dressing tables, and even the mythical abodes of deities. Inspired by the imagery of female immortals in traditional culture, the artist explores the evolution and intersection of female representations in religion, literature, and art. "Rendezvous at the Heavenly Terrace" invites viewers on a spiritual journey to set aside worldly distractions and join a celestial gathering of fairies.

    On October 12, 2024, Soka Art will once again present a solo exhibition by Hsi Shih-Pin, “Stars and Mythical Beasts”, following “Adventure – Hsi Shih-Pin” at Soka Art Taipei in 2021,. In ancient times, the stars in the sky were used for navigation. Yet, the celestial bodies themselves exist in a multidimensional manner. Their cyclical movements—rising and setting day after day—are not restricted by any perspective. Similarly, the mythical stories of humans transforming into beasts and beasts attempting to revert to human form follow the same cyclical pattern, akin to the artist's process of repeatedly disassembling and reassembling that imbues his works with limitless expansiveness and vitality.
