Li Jie (b. 1985, Shanxi, China) holds both a BFA and an MFA in oil painting from Shandong University. Currently pursuing a PhD at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Li Jie is based in Beijing, where he continues to live and work. His artistic vision draws profound inspiration from environmental ethics and the ideas of space science, characterized by a quasi-omniscient perspective that constructs human imagery imbued with ambiguity and tension. Through this framework, he engages in a critical interrogation of anthropocentrism.
